Upon your arrival at the Amnisiades Park, a hot or cold tea with herbs of Crete awaits you.

There will be a tour of our wonderful park and you will be led to the workshop to make your own textiles, as well as a construction with reeds or dried grass of your choice (basket weaving)

The textile art has its roots in the pre-Minoan era where with simple techniques they made their clothing. Through this experience, you will see the Minoan loom and the way the Minoan women wove. You will learn about the different materials that were used from ancient times to create textiles, how they were processed and about their coloration and with our guidance, you will make your own small decorative or useful object.

You will also learn about the Minoan technique of basket waving from natural materials and you will make your own small handmade ornament.

This is a VIP version of the Discovery workshop and refers to a smaller group of people thus being more attentive and more into the experience.
